How to increase download speed in IDM?

Method 1:

In this method we have to use software called as ‘IDM Optimizer’, so this software IDM Optimizer tweaks some of the settings of IDM and this one is really going to help you in increasing download speed of your IDM you have to just download IDM Optimizer

and then get the software installed on your computer. After the installation just open the software and you can see a option called as ‘Maximize Now’, just click on that button and wait for a few seconds and you are done with it it will ask you to restart IDM after you restart IDM you can test your download speed it will be surely increased by 10 to 15% so this was the 1st method for increasing download speeds in IDM.

Method 2:

This method is a bit long but helps a lot in increasing download speed in IDM

• Launch IDM by the shortcut or by clicking on the icon at the taskbar.
• Click on ‘Downloads’ and then check there for “Speed Limiter” if it is on then turn it off.
• Click on ‘Downloads’ again and then click on ‘options’ now click on ‘Connection’ and you can see a dropdown menu there from that menu select ‘High Speed’
• Now you can see another dropdown menu just below that which is named as ‘Default max. conn. Number’ and then select ‘32’ and then click on ‘OK’ and you are done with your task of speeding up your download speed in IDM.
Now just try downloading some files after using both these methods you can find 20% increase in download speed in IDM.
